Hood River Soil & Water Conservation District
Offers grants for irrigation system upgrades and bilingual agricultural trainings, including Worker Protection Standard, Pesticide Handler, Air-Blast Sprayer Calibration, Integrated Pest Management, Irrigation Water Management, Private Pesticide Applicator License Exam Prep, and more. The HRSWCD also serves as a state-contracted testing center for pesticide licensing exams and offers testing opportunities locally. Northwest Horticultural Council
The Northwest Horticultural Council (NHC) was incorporated in 1947 with the broad purpose of coordinating the activities of its members and to assist in handling problems common to the Pacific Northwest tree fruit industry. This work focuses on issues affecting growers, packers, and shippers of apples, pears, and sweet cherries in Washington, Oregon, Idaho.
