- Members must be commercially engaged in producing apples, cherries and/or pears in the Mid-Columbia region (including Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties in Oregon and Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington). Any commercial tree fruit producer that does not have fruit packed/processed through a commercial packing house is not eligible for membership.
- Producers must pay current assessment rates for 100% of apples, cherries, and pears commercially grown in the region (direct-to-consumer sales are not eligible for tonnage assessments). Growers that do not pay assessments on 100% of qualified crops are not eligible for membership.

What do funds go towards?
Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers is a nonprofit association that relies on voluntary tonnage assessments paid by producers for funding. Assessments are paid annually and are transferred from each member’s packing/shipping organization.
Advocacy
Advocacy efforts for the tree fruit industry, including promotion, orchard tours, lobbying services, legal services, etc.
Research
Scientific research to support developments in tree fruit horticultural practices, pest and disease management, post-harvest fruit storage, and use of technology.
Trainings
Programs and services for our members, including compliance materials and educational trainings for growers and orchard employees.
Programs
Pest and frost monitoring programs, and tree fruit management programs.
Labor Support
Support for migrant programs, including migrant summer school.
Scholarships
Scholarships for local high-school and college students.
Organizations
Support of agriculture-related organizations, including Oregon Farm Bureau and Northwest Horticultural Council
